Both are products of two great civilizations, both aim at creating harmonious habitats, both are deep and profound in their knowledge and analysis, but both differ vastly in principles and practice.
In its earliest form, Fengshui was utilized to select locations for burial grounds and tombs, not homes. Vastuvidya, on the other hand, developed as a dedicated and independent school of architecture and design covering a wide spectrum of subjects from town planning to designing furniture and vehicles.
